Tree Rush Adventures Opens at Fontenelle Forest
BELLEVUE, NE (July 22, 2019) – TreeRush Adventures at Fontenelle Forest, Greater Omaha’s newest outdoor recreation attraction, will celebrate its Grand Opening on Thursday, July 31 starting at 9:00 am. The public is welcome and can experience the ropes adventure park at a special opening day discount. Merica Whitehall, Fontenelle Forest Executive Director said, “We have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the new TreeRush Adventures, watching its construction since early spring. We see the new Adventure Park as another opportunity to experience the beauty of nature at the Forest. This is just one way that Fontenelle Forest is creating new opportunities for everyone to experience and enjoy nature.”
TreeRush Adventures includes a main climbing area for ages seven through adult called TreeRush Adventure Park while KidRush Adventure Park is ideal for ages 4-6. Both attractions include zip lines, bridges made of cable and rope, and netted tunnels that are suspended between platforms built around trees and poles. Guests are provided climbing gear and after a Park briefing and practice, start their two-hour climbing adventure. Guests start from a main tree platform where they choose from aerial trails ranging from beginner to expert. Trails are color-coded, with yellow being the easiest. As guests take on green and blue trails, the elements become higher and require increased balance, strength and stamina. The advanced black trail includes elements 55 feet above the forest floor. Whitehall continues, “With the opening of TreeRush, we will be able to promote active involvement in outdoor recreation and exercise for all ages. By immersing people in the natural world, outdoor recreation builds support for conservation and helps develop the next generation of stewards.”
Tickets for TreeRush Adventures can be purchased online at TreeRush.com, or guests can walk in and be scheduled for the next available opening. All tickets are for two-hour climbing sessions that begin after guests receive a briefing about how to use their climbing gear. General admission prices for the main park range from $39 – $45 and $18 for KidRush.
