Land Steward

The full-time Land Steward will be part of the Stewardship team and will provide assistance to Rangers and Restoration Biologists with Land Management and restoration activities. We are seeking someone who is an enthusiastic learner with a desire to gain land management experience. Acts as pro-tem Ranger when full-time Rangers are off duty.

Fontenelle Forest is seeking TNT volunteers to join our team for summer camp. Fontenelle Forest embraces the values of Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Engagement, and Sustainability. As a member of the Fontenelle Forest team every employee helps us achieve our vision to be a national leader in environmental stewardship and education and the region’s premier nature center.

*TNT (Teen Naturalist Trainee) Volunteers are enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who support Fontenelle Forest’s mission to support discovery of the quiet wild of nature and inspire current and future generations to care for the natural world. TNT Volunteers will assist counselors in nature-based summer day camps for children ages 6-12 years old. Programs take place onsite at Fontenelle Forest’s properties including, but not limited to, Nature Center, Camp Brewster, and Camp Wa-kon-da. TNT Volunteers help excite and engage campers in exploring the natural world through guided inquiry based experiential learning.
