This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join one of Nebraska’s oldest conservation organizations and one of the largest private nature centers in the nation. The Director of Education provides vision and leadership for the education department and effectively manages a team composed of teachers, naturalists, and interpreters. Properties Superintendent

The Properties Superintendent will align efforts between facilities maintenance, grounds keeping, and environmental stewardship in the implementation of Fontenelle Forest’s mission, vision, values and strategic goals and objectives. This position is further responsible for ensuring that safe and quality natural areas, trails, grounds, and facilities are made accessible to the public. This position has considerable responsibility in recommending and overseeing strategy development, planning, construction, renovation, and maintenance of all Forest Properties.

As a member of the Fontenelle Forest team every employee helps us achieve our vision to be a national leader in environmental stewardship and education and the region’s premier nature center. The Seasonal Educator provides environmental education in the form of nature-based school programs to local students in grades PreK-8th.  This is a seasonal position required to work through May 2019, with reduced hours during the winter season. Training will be provided.  Successful candidates will have the opportunity to apply for summer seasonal work as available. This position reports to the Director or Education or its appointee.

Fontenelle Forest seeks a dynamic, self‐starter to assist the Development Department with its communications efforts.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and development while working for a well‐known, community based non‐profit organization. Please note: This is an unpaid position.
