Fall Education Intern

Position type: Intern, Paid Salary: $10.25/hour DOE Benefits: membership privileges.

This is a fall internship starting August 19, 2019 with the option of continuing in the spring.

The part-time Education Intern is an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who supports Fontenelle Forest’s mission to support discovery of the quiet wild of nature and inspire current and future generations to care for the natural world. With the guidance of the Education Department, the Education Intern will develop a nature-based education activity to be used in Educational programming at the Forest. During the school year (August-December), they will facilitate nature-based programming with groups through an organized educational program. Programs take place onsite at Fontenelle Forest’s properties and off-site, including, but not limited to schools and community centers. Forest Educators and Interns are the face of the Education Department and help excite and engage visitors in exploring the natural world through guided inquiry based experiential learning. This position reports to the Adult Program Manager.

Part Time Naturalist Educator

Position type: part-time, non-exempt Salary: Starts at $10.25/hour DOE Benefits: membership privileges. Open until filled. Start date August 19, 2019

The part-time Naturalist Educator is an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who supports Fontenelle Forest’s mission to support discovery of the quiet wild of nature and inspire current and future generations to care for the natural world. The Educator facilitates nature-based programs during the school year (January-May, August-December) with additional summer work (June-July) available. Successful candidates should be available to facilitate a minimum of 4 programs per week (12-16 hours).

Manager of Donor Relations

Position Type: Full Time Salary:  Starting salary is $40K Benefits:  Health, life & long-term disability insurance, paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays), membership privileges, 403(b) plan

The Manager of Donor Relations is responsible for cultivating and stewarding member and donor relationships, and serves as liaison to the Fontenelle Forest Guild. The Manager supervises the Development Associate and the Guest Services Supervisor to assure that the experience members, donors, and visitors have engaging with staff reflects Fontenelle Forest’s values of excellence, integrity, engagement, stewardship, and sustainability. This position reports to the Director of Development & Marketing.

Marketing Intern

Are you learning marketing or journalism and want to work for a non-profit? Maybe you are studying environmental sciences and want to learn more about marketing. Fontenelle Forest seeks a creative self‐starter to assist Fontenelle Forest with its communications efforts.
