Take a Hike!

It’s shaping up to be about as good as it gets around here this Labor Day weekend. Sunshine, blue skies, temps in the 70s – what better time to stretch your legs along our 25 miles of beautiful forest trails?

And there’s all kinds of others thing to do here, too. Like, see hawks, owls, and falcons up-close, 30 feet above the forest floor at our brand new Raptor Wildlife Refuge.

RAPTOR WOODLAND REFUGE:
Open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Nature Center

Brightly colored butterflies have been spotted all around the forest, too – see if you can find them. Or, take a vinyasa yoga class this Sunday, surrounded by the soothing sights and sounds of nature. It’s all here at Fontenelle Forest this weekend and it’s cheaper than going to the movies and quieter than your neighborhood barbecue.

We are open from 8 am until 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and 8 am until 7 pm on Labor Day. Raptor Woodland Refuge is open from 10 am until 5 pm everyday.
