Sunday Trekking at Camp Wa-Kon-Da
September 26, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join our Naturalist Educators on a guided hike along the beautiful trails of Camp Wa-Kon-Da on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.
Camp Wa-Kon-Da features a rich history of human civilization, from the Nebraska Phase people to explorers like Lewis and Clark! See markers for Earth Lodge sites where Nebraska Phase people lived and thrived 1,000 years ago. Climb up to the ridgetops, or descend down into the bluff and notice where glaciers cut into the earth centuries ago. Pass the French Trading Post where the Fontenelle Family lived and traded along the Missouri River.
All hikes will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m and last two hours, traversing easy-to-moderate terrain.
