From the Leaflet – May & June 2016

May and June bring a lot of excitement and warmer temperatures to Fontenelle Forest. May is peak migration season and a great time to see many unique species of birds and other wildlife. Check our Nature Notes page for updates on sightings, including our annual warbler species watch.

Omaha Gives!
Wednesday, May 25 from midnight to midnight
Omaha Gives! is Wednesday, May 25th! Schedule your donation for the big day now by clicking here. Our members play an essential role in everything that we do. In 2015, Fontenelle Forest provided environmental education opportunities for over 40,000 school children, rescued over 500 raptors throughout the state, began an important plan to restore our centuries-old oak savannas, and provided an opportunity to visit the quiet wild to over 100,000 people. Help us make 2016 (and beyond) even better!
