December 22, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

An image of the a bird perched on a branch with the words "Winter Birding in Nebraska Wednesday, December 12. S.U.N. Seniors Understanding Nature. Foar active seniors who enjoy learning about nature" and the Fontenelle Forest logo.

Have you ever wondered why some birds stay in Nebraska all winter, while other birds migrate? Would you like to know which birds spend their winters in Nebraska and where they come from?

Join Bob Wells, past president of the Audubon Society of Omaha, volunteer docent for the raptor woodland refuge, and a Fontenelle Forest board member, as he shares his knowledge about winter birding in Nebraska.  Bob will also provide information on the Audubon Society’s bird count and why it is important in understanding our bird population.

Maximum of 200 people. No registration is required.

This event is free for members or with daily admission.
