March 10, 2020 @ 9:45 am - 11:00 am

Three outdoor pictures, with yellow on the left side. It has the text, "S.U.N. Seniors Understanding Nature Fore active seniors who enjoy learning about nature" with the Fontenelle Forest logo in black.

Join us for our monthly Seniors Understanding Nature (SUN) lecture series at the Nature Center! Snacks and coffee are available before the presentation, and an optional guided walk on the boardwalk is offered following the program. This program is free for members or with daily admission.

This month we will hear from Dr. Larkin Powell, Director of the Great Plains Cooperative Ecosystems Study Unit and Professor of Conservation Biology/Animal Ecology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Powell will discuss how the 1940’s were a threshold moment for how we farmed in Nebraska, and how subsequent changes affected habitat for wildlife across the state.
