January 8, 2019 @ 4:00 am - 6:00 am

Seniors Understanding Nature (SUN) Saving a Praire Dog Town graphic

Jan. 8 – Laura Stasty (NE Wildlife Rescue) – “Saving a Prairie Dog Town”

This last summer NE Wildlife Rescue and Rehab., came to the aid of a forgotten Prairie Dog Town in Western NE. Laura Stastny from the rescue will tell us how they came to rescue and relocate an entire Prairie Dog town.

Many seniors grew up in a time when nature was a big part of everyday life; SUN (Seniors Understanding Nature) programs enhance that experience. Join us at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Refreshments served at 9:45 a.m., followed by an indoor program, and completed with an optional nature walk.

This program is free for members or with daily admission.
Doors open at 9:15 am, speakers start at 10 a.m.
