Seniors Understanding Nature: Raptors and the Raptor Woodland Refuge

March 12, 2019 @ 4:45 am - 6:30 pm

Seniors Understanding Nature (SUN) Raptors graphic

Kathy Fischer will be visiting with a few of her beautiful birds of prey. We will be learning about the natural history of these amazing birds as well as updates on the Raptor Woodland Refuge. The presentation will include a live birds presentation and a visit  to the Refuge to meet Fisher, our new resident Bald Eagle.

Many seniors grew up in a time when nature was a big part of everyday life; SUN (Seniors Understanding Nature) programs enhance that experience. Join us at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Refreshments served at 9:45 a.m., followed by an indoor program, and completed with an optional nature walk.

This program is free for members or with daily admission.
