FONTENELLE FOREST AT DO SPACE
March 18 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Do Space and Fontenelle Forest have teamed up to create a new and innovative experience for young tech and nature lovers!
On March 18th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fontenelle Forest will be at Do Space for another exciting, family-friendly event. The March 18th event will feature several nature-inspired experiences for Do Space participants, including:
-
NATURAL ARTIFACTS – Experience a variety of natural artifacts first-hand. We’ll have animal pelts, skulls, and more to explore
-
TREE COOKIE EXPLORATION AND DESIGN – Come learn about the importance of preserving Fontenelle Forest’s oak savannah through the exploration of tree cookies from our forest. Get creative and decorate a tree cookie key chain memento.
-
EDISON ROBOT CODING – Practice simple coding with Edison Robots. These robots are mini tabletop robots that change speed or direction based on drawn paths you create. Challenge yourself to design a path for your robot resembling a natural land feature or natural object using our templates as a guide. Or get creative and design your own path. The possibilities are endless!
-
STEM EXPLORING THE AERODYNAMICS OF FLIGHT – Construct paper airplanes based on different birds’ wing structures. Predict which airplane prototype will fly the farthest or fastest. Then, try out your design and see if it wins!
-
LIVE CRITTER ENCOUNTER – Come see a variety of live reptiles presented by our animal care specialist. Learn interesting facts about their habitats, diets, and life cycles.
Live animals will be on display from 11:00am-2:00pm.
