Family Adventure Days at Neale Woods

Bring the family and join us for a fun and exciting afternoon of recreational activities and snow trekking at Neale Woods!

Bring your athletic spirit for winter-style games and a relay race with the family! Compete against one another to see who has the best winter game skills.

After the competition, join a naturalist and explore Neale Woods on a guided snow hike, during which you will learn basic hiking, camping, and survival tips (e.g. basics of animal tracking, backpacking 101, and what to do if you get lost in the wilderness).

Neale Woods features miles of trails on a variety of terrain. Climb up to the ridgetops or explore deep in the hollows. Learn about the vast amount of plant and animal life that reside in this 600-acre conservation area.

This event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The hike will last about 1-1/2 hours and traverse easy-to-moderate terrain.

Social distancing guidelines will be followed. Masks will be required whenever attendees cannot maintain a six-foot distance from one another. Signed liability waiver required to participate in the event. In the event of inclement weather, staff will notify of cancellations the day before the event by phone call.

Maximum of 18 participants. Pre-registration is required. Members must sign in to receive discount.
